About Us

The Guru Nanak Mission Sikh Center serves as a spiritual and cultural hub for the Sikh community in Bakersfield.

Founded with the vision to preserve Sikh values and support the growing Punjabi community, the Gurdwara has grown into a center for:

History

The Sikh community in Bakersfield began establishing its roots in the late 20th century.

  • 1989First Sikh temple established in Bakersfield
  • 1997Land purchased for a larger Gurdwara complex
  • 2003Formation of Guru Nanak Mission organization
  • 2007New Gurdwara opened for worship
  • 2024Major construction and expansion completed

Today, the Gurdwara stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and service.
